Multilingualism with Spanish speakers

Languages and communication are the gateway to the world. At our centre, part of ourstaff members are Spanish speakers. Children that listen to and learn different languages can learn new languages with more ease and are more open to other cultures. They even have a better understanding of their native language. Our centre also offers a number of places to children of immigrant origin, as we place a high value on interculturality and languages in the education of children.
Based on a programme adapted to infant education, we encourage children to learn as they play with all the senses and we foster the natural desire of children to gain knowledge and to discover and employ their own abilities. In the morning, children are placed into groups according to their age (or level of development), led by the teaching staff, and they participate in the planned activities, that are designed according to age. We follow the sensitive phases of development (windows of development). Experience shows that there are different ideal ages to learn to crawl, walk, ride a bike, swim, etc. Each of these activities is easier during these phases. We adapt to the development of each child and support this development in a playful way.

A crucial element of our education is engaging all the senses and a comprehensive education and training programme based on a Christian vision of mankind, encompassing intellectual, human, spiritual, social and motor aspects. We follow the values and celebrations of the Catholic Church. The Christian vision of mankind underlines the uniqueness of each human being. Therefore, for us personalised education (supporting each child individually), is of the utmost importance.
When children participate in excursions they can understand many different things with all of their senses and broaden their horizon. The movement and fresh air and new experiences and emotions all play an important part in the development of the child.The free time also gives them a chance to digest what they have learnt and make decisions. Activity corners are also designed with this objective in mind. Children can chose between different corners and further examine their interests.

Kita Zugspitze - Opening in autumn 2017
The KiTa Zugspitze Nursery School has full time opening hours, is supported by the municipal authorities and is aimed at children from between 0 and 6 years old.
The Nursery School has 72 places that are distributed in four different groups: 24 children between 0 to 3 years old and 48 children between 3 to 6 years old.

Languages are the gateway to the world. Language development starts at birth, continually develops within the social environment and never ends. Communication and language are key for other fields of education.
At our nursery, besides German, the Spanish and English languages also play a very important role. Language fosters interculturality and opens up a completely new world for children. We work in a playful way with native staff.
We expect to open our Nursery School in September 2017. Our facilities are currently under construction.

The main idea behind our concept of the Nursery School and a key aspect for its successful operation is collaboration with parents. For us, it is essential to work with parents at our centre and receive their support in our educational project. And their participation in activities, parents' evenings and parties. Communication between parents and teachers is our hallmark.
